Between May 23 and June 27, 2025 users who live in 🇳🇱 the Netherlands and request a Switch Service to make bunq their main bank can win up to €1,000 by earning the most bunq Points in weekly contests!
Each week during the promotion period, three eligible users who earn the most bunq Points that week win a €1,000 prize.
How do I enable Switch Service?
To enable the Switch Service in your bunq app, follow these steps:
- Tap on your Profile in the top left corner of your bunq app
- Tap on ⚙️ Settings in the top right corner
- Tap on Switch Service under Finance
- Tap on Let’s start
- Choose the Bank Account where you want to redirect the payments
- Register your Switch Service through the page you’re redirected to
- Done ✅
How can I earn bunq Points during contest weeks?
You can earn bunq Points by doing the following:
- Receive Your Salary – 100 points
- Invite a Friend – 1,000 points
- Claim Your First Reward – 250 points
- Sort Your Salary – 100 points
- Create bunq.me Link – 100 points
- Set up Apple Pay or Google Pay – 100 points
- Order a Physical Card – 100 points
- Budget with Multiple Bank Accounts – 100 points
- Install an eSIM – 100 points
- Set Up AutoSave – 100 points
- Buy Crypto – 100 points
- Unlock Deal – 100 points
- Anniversary at bunq – 500 points
- Card payments (available to bunq Core, Pro and Elite plans only) – bunq Core & bunq Pro 1 point per €1 spent, bunq Elite 2 points per €1 spent.
Note: bunq Points earned from Stocks and bunq Points earned from requesting the Switch Service do not count in the weekly contests.
Who can participate?
You can participate if you are a verified user with an active bunq account living in 🇳🇱 the Netherlands and if you meet the following conditions:
- You request the Switch Service to make bunq your main bank account between May 23 and June 27, 2025
- This is your first time using Switch Service with bunq
How will I receive my Payout?
You will receive your prize payout via a bunq transfer in the following week 💸
Contest Schedule
The promotion starts on May 23 and lasts to June 27, 2025. Each contest week begins on Friday at 12:00 CEST and ends the following Friday at 11:59 CEST.
That means the first week’s contest cycle begins on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 12:00 CEST Amsterdam time and ends on Friday, May 27, 2025 at 11:59 CEST.

Please note that prizes may be subject to local tax regulations and winners are responsible for fulfilling any tax obligations resulting from their rewards.
Data Retention
All bunq Points data will be handled in accordance with bunq’s internal data policies. Weekly leaderboard snapshots will be stored for 90 days for audit purposes.
Fair Game
Any attempt to manipulate or abuse the system may lead to disqualification and further legal action.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many times can I win?
You can only win once. If you have been selected as a winner, you will be excluded from future weekly contests.
How are the winners determined?
bunq Points totals will be added up at the end of each contest week to determine the three winners. This is not a lottery or game of chance. Winners are selected based on the amount of bunq Points earned through the qualifying activities.
When do I enter the contest?
You enter the week’s contest when you request the Switch Service and can participate only within that week. If you request the Switch Service, you can’t participate in next week’s contest.
Can I see a Leaderboard?
No public or live leaderboard will be displayed. If you win, we will inform you by email ✨
