Mathijs the old banks still have way more employees and way bigger budgets. The best way to help bunq build features faster? Convince your friends/etc. to join bunq, bunq will make more profit, bunq can easily grow the employees, build faster, win win. 🙂 Not to forget that for instance ING is also investing a lot of time in modern technologies, bunq is a trendsetter, and the big banks reproduce it with ease after seeing it at bunq. 🙂

It feels weird to have to transfer money to my Rabobank account in order to be able to use my watch for payments 🙂 So yeah let's hope for Garmin Pay at the next update!

This would be an awesome new development for bunq. Currently using ABN AMRO and the Garmin Pay feature works wonderfully.

Let's do this, bunq. Definitely one of the decision factors to get a premium account.

Gabriel Valck I’ve paid a few times with Garmin Pay but it’s awkward entering PIN. You have to redo the setup if you reset your Garmin device, so my card is not often ready.

After a few months, I’ve basically stopped using it, even packing a 10€ note for runs.

I find the PIN system quite simple, also I'm not sure why you would need to reset the device often. I like it a lot

It is about time that Bunq keeps up with its competitors Openbank and Revolut, who already offer Garmin pay in the Netherlands. Very tempting to switch bank

Roeshimi If you are a runner and are always bying stuff to eat or drink when you're running I would imagine it could be very tempting to switch, if that means you have to take less stuff with you.

And I don't know about you but paying with my phone still makes me smile.

Roeshimi I am exaggerating obviously. Actually, I am a very happy customer of Bunq. Only thing that frustrates me is that Bunq offers services like Apple pay and Google pay in other markets, except for their 'home' country. I am paying 4 times more than i used to for Rabobank, and would expect therefore that Bunq also introduced its innovations in the Netherlands (not just abroad)

Marco Bunq can't introduce this on their own. Both Apple and Google don't allow this for Dutch customers. So if anything you have to complain with them that they didn't start their Pay scheme in The Netherlands yet.

Marco It's not like bunq does not WANT to offer Apple Pay/Google Pay, but they CAN'T offer it, because it's not their choice. Apple/Google have to allow it.
From what I've read here, it seems more probable that G Pay will come before A Pay to the Netherlands.

Marco I think there are not a lot of companies that can put pressure on Apple and Google, and bunq is certainly not one of them :P
