No ways to get around with Swift payments. It‘s always 5 euros for payments less than 10k euros. More if the amount is bigger. Details are in the cost sheet (PDF) on the bunq website.
You don‘t have to pay this fee if you use Transferwise to send money from your Australian account to the bunq account. In that case you only pay some fees to Transferwise that are probably less than what you paid for the Swift transfer in total. But I recommend checking for yourself.
