Hi,
We've discussed before that it's a bit annoying that the bunq app surpresses Apple Pay notifications, which is to say that you don't get a notification if you pay with Apple Pay. Ever. So when paying with your Apple Watch for example: you also don't get any notification on your phone. (You used to, but it was unfortunately removed. :()
However, by pure coincidence I just found another problem. A few weeks ago I was testing Apple Pay integration to get donations on a site I manage, and used my own MC card added to my Macbook Pro to do a test transaction to see if it actually works. Now whilst further testing, I just set the system to think the invoice wasn't paid yet and accidentally I had left the "Automatically attempt capture" functionality enabled, meaning the software again tried on its own to charge the payment method for the 'due invoice'. Not a problem, I'm actually positively surprised it's possible to setup recurring payments with Apple Pay! Very nice. :) But much to my surprise, this instantly went through without notification from Bunq because "Apple Pay". :(
So not only do you not get a notification when paying in stores with Apple Pay, you also don't get a notification for recurring payments to your debit card if you initialised the card payment through Apple Pay on any device; Macbook included.
Imho, this really has to be changed and we need to get the ability to stop the bunq app from surpressing Apple Pay notifications. I'd much rather disable the wallet notifications and enable bunq notification so I get all Apple Pay notifications, and not only notifications if you so happen to pay with your phone but not if you pay with Apple Pay from any other device. Not getting a notification for recurring transactions imho is really a miss and at this point I consider that to be a bug. :)
Thank you for your consideration.
-edit- To add insult to injury: for recurring payments, the Wallet app doesn't seem to show any notification either nor an entry in the payment history. (I consider that a bug as well and will report that to Apple.)
