Hello Paul!

This was not the intention!

We definitely still hold the bitcoin wallet on our wishlist! We did do a cleanup but that does not mean we do not regard you ideas! 👍

A bitcoin wallet is still in our wishlist and we will notify it when it is accomplished! 🤗

Why we don't make this coin together? I got a mining farm so let's bunq together ;-) the name is good for a coin!

hmm I think it would be better if a coin with that name actually come from bunq tho 🤔

So that's why it's bunq together ;-) Ali has enough rack space for some Miners ;-)

This is actually a very nice idea! And also to mine this coin together. Well, we shouldn't mine it, it should be the users' coin, secures via proof of stake, running decentralized on everyone's wallet.

It would be an option in the wallet, to have it run the ledger (or parts, sharded) for which you get Bunqcoins BNQ in return) That way you could get scale and easy decentralization.

With mining we'd have Kai (no offense) and the DMG and that would be somewhat centralized right?

In my opinion the extra value that crypto brings is immutability, we don't want Bunq to be able to block or take our coins right?

While I'm typing this, the idea starts to become less attractive actually. I don't think bunq will be capable of such innovation. I think the guys over at Nocks and Gulden are way more likely to create something like this, actually they are well underway. (Or is it on their way?) Well, anyway, nice discussion here, cool to see there are some fellow crypto nerds interested in hooking up 'traditional banking' (sorry Bunq, that has to hurt a little) with crypto payments.

Go Nocks!

We from Digital Miners Guild could work on that ;-)

Connection with coinbase and bying/selling to bunq would be great

Yes!!! A bunq coin (BNQ)!!! Completely indepentent from banks!!! A bunq omni wallet to store and exchange our bunqs, guldens, bitcoins, etc. with EUR. Bunq will be the first bank with it's own crypto currency, right?! Wow! Can't wait for this to happen!!!

Now we're talking!!! This type of functionality would be something I'm very interested in! This would totally set you guys apart from the rest!

Although you're on the verge of being passed by TenX card, Tokencard, Monacocard, and are already passed by Coinsbank, who have a fantastic product with their pre-paid VISA card that works like a charm all over the world!

I feel as if bunq is focusing on the wrong things, not so much on innovation but more on slightly tuning the existing. Which. Is. Boooooring. And it makes you look more like a traditional bank every day.

So get your sh*t together and be the first in something again. Crypto integration would be something I'd be willing to pay for.

'What would you be willing to pay for that?' You might ask...

Well, I'd be willing to pay a 'per tx fee' of 0.5%, with a minimum of €0.01 and a maximum of €5.00.

With my spending behavior (not via bunq atm) that would amount to at least €10/month.

I don't mind paying for stuff I actually want!
