In-app Card Nicknames

Hey guys,

I just switched to Premium and enabled Tap & Pay. Can't wait to try it out!

Since I've got two "cards" now (three when my MasterCard arrives), and they're both linked to the same account, it says "bunq card (08/21), bunq card (05/21)". I know it's technically correct, but I've got to say this won't help me determine what card is linked to which account, especially at first glance :P

Also, my MasterCard will have the same expiration date as Tap & Pay, so it will be impossible to tell them apart.

Would it be an idea to introduce in-app nicknames for your different cards? That way you can easily tell them apart. Or at least showing which card is which, like "Maestro (05/21)". That should help clear things up :)

Hey Harm Jan,

The in app nickname of the card is the description/name you gave the card when you ordered it 😊

I'll add the option to edit it to the wishlist, thanks for the explanation! 👍

Yes please, and I add another reason on top: when I ordered my card I had my email address printed on it (in case I lose it). That's not a very useful in-app description.

Hey Koen,

That's awesome, but what if you left your description blank, like I did? 😳😁

Maybe it could be an if/else scenario, where it displays a generic name if the user didn't pick a description :)

Hey!

Well, I'll have to admit that I did the exact same thing 😅

Consider it added to the list 📝

A nice quick fix in the interim (before full renaming ability) might be to give the NFC virtual card a more reasonable name, such as "NFC". "bunq card" is actually kinda misleading, since it's not a card.

Yes Please! I put a generic 0 (for my maestro) and a 1 (mastercard) in there, I regretted it the moment I did my first payment :), it doesn't really look good...

This would be perfect! 🎉
