  • Special Characters in Card description

Hi, I'd like to order a debit card and print my phone number in the card description, wo I can be contacted in case I loose it.
The card description prevents special characters like + which I need for my phone number. Is there a way to circumvent this? A friend of mine who did this a while ago had no problems with this. If not I'd like you to (re) implement this feature

    To replace the + from the country code of a phone number you can use 2 zero's '00'.

      @johannes#76936 00 is not everywhere used to dial to another country! The “+” is used for that.

          You're right. Seems to be a European standard, which differs from North-American standards. Gotta love standards.

              +1 Also, in the past this was an option: I have it on my current card. But it needs to be replaced. The protective layer is loose.

                Formerly, I was able to enter an e-mail address.
                Now, the "@" character is no longer allowed AND the length of the Description is limited -- so my e-mail address wouldn't fit any longer.

                By the way: "00" is only the special prefix in most European countries.
                All over the world, this is used: 00, 011, 000, 0011, 009, 0015, 010, 119, 8~10 (~ = wait for second dial tone), and many many more regional varieties.
                So, "+" is an absolute necessity. :-)

                  Guys... I have no idea what you are talking there...
                  Foe example if you want to call to US (let's say San Jose) from Europe / Asia etc you would dial 001-408-CityArea-PhoneNr OR +1-408-CityArea-PhoneNr.
                  If you are INSIDE US and want to dial from let's say New York to San Jose, you would dial directly 408-CityArea-PhoneNr.
                  If you are already in San Jose, you would dial directly only the CityArea-PhoneNr (without the 408).
                  If you are in the US and need to dial in Europe, for some (or maybe let's say 'more') providers you will be required to first dial 011-country code (0049 for Germany for example) and so on and so forth.

                  I really did not know of any impediment to call a country (for example Malaysia 0060 or +60) by using either the 00 format or the + format.

                  Maybe some countries are more restrictive, but it should not be the case.

                      Cool, du hast eine andere Übersetzung als ich. Leute statt Typen. 😁

                        @-13#76924 Das Problem ist, dass bunq seinen Kartenhersteller gewechselt hat. Die neuen Karten sehen jetzt alle etwas anders aus und es können eben leider nur noch weniger Zeichen gedruckt und ausgewählt werden.
