Red Flags 🚩
bunq would never aks users to do things outside the app! So that would be red flag number one. bunq always uses your name to address you, so that would be red flag number 2. Also, the language isn't the kind of tone bunq normally uses, red flag 🚩 number 3! And if you hover over the link you will see the url isnt anything close to bunq.com. Finally, bunq never ever write their name with a capital B.

Those types of messages seem to be a thing today. I've read some tweets on Twitter of people also receiving such emails.
Does that mean bunq is a big player now? ;-)

Patrick Wat ook een goede tip is, naast de tips die al gegeven zijn, is om te kijken naar taalfouten.
"We vragen u om het zo snel mogelijk te annuleren met de nodige maatregelen" is een zin die rechtstreeks uit Google Translate komt (de andere ook trouwens). Echt lekker vloeiend Nederlands is het niet.

I figure you entered a false passcode and still the site replies with 'Geweldig!' (Great!)... So it only wants a phone number and a passcode?

Can they, in combination with your email address, use these data to gain access to your account?

They would need a handscan or password too, as far as I know.

deze komt binnen vanuit het nummer dat normaal ook door bunq wordt gebruikt. Iemand wil mij een slechte kerst bezorgen...ik trap er niet in.

It's also an obviously incorrect IP address in the first place. Make sure you report the phishing attempts also via bunq Support so that they're aware of it.
