@Piels#40839 I can't find the Terms and Conditions nor the Privacy Policy on your site. Where should I click to read them?
@Piels#40839 I can't find the Terms and Conditions nor the Privacy Policy on your site. Where should I click to read them?
@JeroenE#40872 It’s not hosted on our website yet, we will give you a heads up when it’s ready to read 👍
@JeroenE#40872 Looks like you can find the T&C here: https://flowyour.money/terms/ and the Privacy Policy here: https://flowyour.money/privacy/
@JeroenE#40872 You can find both on our website. They are in Dutch for now and are going to be translated next week. Scroll to the footer on https://flowyour.money to find the documents!
@herzkerl#43398 & @Piels#43641 Thanks for letting me know. I won't join though because I don't like that I need to give my social media (I don't even have things like Facebook, twitter, Instagram and so on) account to an app which says it will use my name and everything in commercials.
@JeroenE#43776 That indeed sounds concerning
@JeroenE#43776 Thanks for your input on our Privacy Policy! 👍
To be clear: You don’t have to give your social media profile to use our app. I can see why you think it’s mandatory.
We mention social media profiles because people send us Tweets and DM’s and we process it to reply to people. For example people asking for (earlier) access or a new feature. Later we might reach out again to these people to say their feature suggestion is implemented or so. We don’t use your name in our commercials. I’ll take it up and clarify it in our Privacy Policy.
In a nutshell: we'll only use this for correspondence with Flow.
→ We will update our Privacy Policy to reflect this more clearly.
@Piels#43781 I understand that if I send a tweet you should be allowed to tweet back. Does such obvious things need to be put in a privacy statement below the header "marketing informatie"? Does an entity like Rabobank has a line in their privacy statement to clarify that when you make a phonecall the bank-employee is allowed to talk back and actually answer the question using the information you just told them?
The part about the commercials (which are called communicatie uitingen but that is just a nice term for commercials) comes from this line: We kunnen je social media-gegevens gebruiken in onze communicatie uitingen om het gebruik van Flow te promoten.
To be honest it does say afterwards: Het gebruik van je social media-gegevens is afhankelijk van je privacy-instellingen op de verschillende sociale-mediasites.
But as far as I know on most social-media sites things like using your name has to be allowed. Becasue if it isn't how can Facebook or Twitter show your name or handle?
Also social-media is a very broad term. E.g. you can argue that Together is a social media site (on which everything is public, even). So if I somehow agree to your terms you are allowed to take all my messages on this site and use them in your own communications. That just feels very wrong to me.
@JeroenE#43802 Strictly speaking, yes they need permission to reach out to you in public on social media.
The time has come!
This week will we start to open the app for a limited group of Alpha testers. After that we will start inviting people from our list of subscribers. Exiting!
We’ve got a huge list of people who signed up. To keep everything in check, we’ll start by inviting users in batches, based on the moment you have signed up. We’ll increase the batch size over time. So if you didn’t already, sign up fast to claim a spot in line at http://flowyour.money
See you soon!
👍
@Mat64#43867 Really, what happens if they didn't get my permission? Do they get blocked, do they get a fine?
And why don't I need their permission to contact them too?
@JeroenE#43909 It would a violation of the European privacy laws.
Fine’s could be given.
@Mat64#43942 So I can get a fine if I send a tweet to some compnay without their permission?
And you could get a fine because you're answering me without getting my permission first?
@JeroenE#43946 No, it for Companies, they can’t contact consumers unsolicited thru social media, because that counts as handling personal data in public.
@Mat64#43950 Unsolicited contact is not the same as answering a question that you were asked.
Going a little off-topic guys.
Sounds promising. Any indication about the subscription rate?
@Davy-Yellow-Bear#43959 For now you can use Flow for free. We are in beta so we thought this is a fair deal for you. We haven’t decided over the subscription fee yet!
