@Emma-Green-Butterfly#78058 The best way is to retain an account with a traditional bank which allows free cash deposits. Once deposited you can transfer the funds to your bunq account.

However, as opposed to SNS, bunq charges money for that.
This is one of the very few reasons that I have not switched completely to bunq yet.

@Wimbat#78535 Bunq doesn't charge you, GWK does. SNS has some kind of deal that you can use the GWK machines for free for paper money deposits.

With SNS, who don’t have their own service either, you don’t pay a fee to GWK but with bunq you do.

I recently heard of an incentive of many banks that plan to form a consortium and install brand free ATM’s that can be used by all banks, instead of each bank having their own ATM.
With this ATM depositing cash would also be an option.

@Wimbat#78548 You mean the Geldmaat ATM's? That's just an initiative by ABN AMRO, ING and Rabobank. Other banks will still have their own ATM's. Deposits will be free for these customers, others will have to pay (fee still unknown).

@tph#78550 I don't think it's already clear that you can make a deposit if you're with another bank. As far as I know they only say that nothing will change for their own customers. That does not mean things will change for other customers.

I don’t want to be that guy, but I have an account in ABN AMRO which costs €1.50 per month and allows a few free deposits. I know cash deposits are something of the past but hey, a few fee deposits are probably not much to ask when we pay a few times that monthly value in bunq.
