  • Add Google Pay Support

Hi bunqers,

yes i know that Android Smartphones can use Tap & Pay.

Even if it's sometimes a bit buggy an has very low NFC Limits.

But it's no real alternative to Google Pay. So, please support it as soon at is possible to support :)


Why?

-Maybe higher NFC Limits

-No twice auth (the bug)

-You can use it on Wear OS Smartwatches (like Huawei Watch 2 or LG Sport)


How i use it at the moment.

Because of the bug i stopped useing Tap & Pay and used Card only, better UX.

Meanwhile i opend an Bank account whrere i have Google Pay, i transfer my money from bunq to the other Bank to pay with my Smartwatch. Would be much cooler to have it with bunq


Wich Countrys are with Google Pay at the moment?

You can use it nearly overall where Contactless Payments are aviable (for me, in Germany).

But officially its only startet in:

United Kingdom

Singapore

Australia

Hong Kong

Poland(Europe)

New Zealand

Ireland (Europe)

Japan

Belgium (Europe)

Russia

Canada

Taiwan

Spain (Europe)

Ukraine (Europe)

Brazil

Possible Start in 2018

Oh, and in Europe, Android has 74% of the OS Market ^^

    The new tap and pay supports a much higher NFC limit. Only the twice auth is anoying

      It has Pin and fingerprint now oO. And find only the general nfc limit setting.. Wich is 150.. Instead of 50.000 at not NL Banks btw. And missing smartwatch support. So not used by me ;)

        Ok little update because of the "bug".


        Its fixed now.


        Tap & Pay should be a nice alternative to Google Pay if you use the Smartphone for Payment. Not alternative für Smartwatches , wich need GPay !


        Tap & Pay has now the ability for a tap without unlock first. So its much better. And the Limit is up to 50.000, like other Banks have. Great!

        Only problem, GPay is still needed for Smartwatch payment ;)

          Yes. Google Pay works better.

            The NFC Limit is not the limit for Tap and Pay. The Card Payments Limit is the Limit for T&P

              Yeah meanwhile ;) thats why I say it's good now. But still no smartwatch payment, Google Pay support is needed for it... And maybe Google Pay starts soon here in Germany 🇩

                It would work for Bunq to only release it for Germany, like with apple pay. N26 did the same.

                  Btw if you are planning to add Google Pay support, please don't remove Tap and Pay until all bunq countries does support Google Pay.
