  • One time password support

I’m trying to order groceries 🤓 But keep having the same issue when I’m trying to pay. After filling in my bunq card (debit Masterpass) information, the app says “Your bank does not support One Time Password service.”

They’re stating that they’re using this because now they don’t need to keep any card information of customers, and with OTP this is kept by MasterCard.

Is there anyone who knows about this? I’ve never heard of it before and can’t find anything about it. I’d really like to use it if that’s possible so help me out 🙏🏻

    Sounds like a question that’s more suitable for Private Matters. They might need to debug the transaction.

        @JeroenE#85856 That's indeed possible, because 3DS is an OTP service.
        But maybe the implementation of that groceries site is a bit outdated..

          @JeroenE#85856 Maybe it is, but then it would automatically proceed to the payment page I think.. which it doesn’t. I just contacted the support chat, which taught me that it’s not possible at this time yet. I hope it’ll be available soon!

                @JeroenE#85861 Nope, is me niet verteld. Maar het is in Turkije, dus wie weet is dit hier wel een hele gebruikelijke betalingsregeling!

                  @Mick-Orange-Cheetah#85863 Wie weet, maar je hebt juist de MasterCard om er over de hele wereld mee te kunnen betalen. Dan is het een beetje achenebbisj als dat in Turkije niet kan omdat bunq iets niet heeft gemaakt.

                        Merhaba bunq otp desteği veriyor mu?

                          @shekkolik#285028 bunq does support MasterCard 3D Secure, but not other implementations of OTP.
