1. The use of widget in a phone is having access to some information without requiring opening an app or using authentification.
2. For login required apps, there is normally a settings in the app which lets widget to show the information without using login info.
3. And similar to it, showing info in widget of an app could be different in locked and unlocked phone based on a settings in the phone itself or in the app.

For bunq app in iPhone iOS 11 , I observe that evenif bunq widget is enabled but the information are shown only when the app is open/unlocked by authentification. As soon as locking app or expiring the time of « keeping logged in », the information are not shown in the widget either in clocked or in unlocked phone. Then the widget has no use in such case if an authentification and opening app is required.
It seems bunq app has not been developed correctly on point 2 and eventually on point 3.
