@Lucas-Blue-Hummingbird#126338 Hmm, that's very interesting info! You received old unrelated iMessages to bunq all of a sudden again?
@Lucas-Blue-Hummingbird#126338 Hmm, that's very interesting info! You received old unrelated iMessages to bunq all of a sudden again?
@Lucas-Blue-Hummingbird#126338 Also another question: have you had this multiple times now?
We've only seen people that have had this once so far and we cannot reproduce it at all ourselves. We know what's going wrong (the device suddenly forgets your encryption keys for bunq without telling us and then recreates them), but we don't know why.
I'm starting to suspect this has to do with iCloud getting logged out and destroying encryption data on the device
No just all kinds of stuff mostly spam and activation codes, here's an example while booting the app since it happened again while booting the app:
Perhaps fixing the root problem of those messages reappearing will also fix the problem I have with the app. I'll reinstall now and I'll let you know if it happens again.
OK I reinstalled, restarted, did not get the unread messages and the Bunq app was fine again.
On a sidenote: the unread messages for this conversation on my phone never go away.
@Lucas-Blue-Hummingbird#126341 Lots of thanks, that's very good information! Does this happen often for you?
I don't restart my phone super often so it happens irregularly, I'll try to keep an eye one it. Didn't upgrade to 13 yet as I'm awaiting 13.2.
Another time but slightly different: “cannot read encryption key”. I don’t notice this behavior in other apps but you’re the only bank app I use. Didn’t see the address book problem anymore. 13.2.3. iCloud / keychain problem?
@Lucas-Blue-Hummingbird#138969 Seems like an issue related to the keychain yeah. Have you tried rebooting your device?
I reinstalled the app instead
I’ll try next time. Perhaps the error message could be improved for less technical users?
Just had the same error. Restarting does not help. This is the second time I've had this issue, last time I fixed it by reinstalling the app.
@Andreas#126340 I have had this twice now. Let me know if you need any info from me. Twice the fix was to reinstall. I have an Iphone X running the latest stable IOS.
I have had the same error today on IOS 13.3 and the most recent version of the bunq app. Removing the bunq-app and reinstalling it from the App Store solved the problem. However it was a nuisance that I can not access support while having the problem, since you need to log into the app in order to get support. Also posting on together.bunq.com is only possible after scanning a QR-code. So in case I would have been the only one with this problem, it would have been impossible to get support since bunq does not offer support by telephone or other channels.
Hi @Itsme#142335
I'm sorry to hear about the inconvenience with the app error. Just fyi, it's also possible to get support through email. Best is to email support@bunq.com from the email address which you have linked to your bunq account so they know who you are.
@Tim#142336 Thanks for this info. I did not know that e-mail support is offered. In case another login problem like this occurs and I'm not able to solve it myself, I know where to go to. Have a nice day!
I just had the same issue; I have an iPhone 7 with iOS 13.3. Reinstalling the app solved the problem. The two screenshots show the messages what I saw (they are kind of technical, and not giving any hints on how to solve the problem).
Is anyone else still experiencing this issue with iOS? I tried deleting the app and re-installing and I get the same error. Happened the first time yesterday 2 May 2020.
@Harriet-Grey-Wolf#162694 Which iOS version are you running?
@Andreas#162696 iOS 11.2
