Bizum is not usefull for other countries (Netherlands for example) so kindly ask Bunq not to invest in this kind of features. Waste of money if you ask me.

@New-Indigo-Parakeet-2395591357#287929 bunq also invested in iDeal, which is only used in the Netherlands. Would you've joined bunq if they didn't support iDeal?
But I get your point, bunq cannot support everything in all the countries they're active.
Hi Thijs, I thought about that. But iDeal is a different one. It will be ‘leading’ in European banking. So for that reason, as Bunq, I will continue invest in this feature. Other features, which are only interesting for a single country, needs less priority in my opinion.

Following up on this conversation - I moved a few months ago to Spain and doing my banking with Bunq. I have had a few challenges so far, unable to take care of some payments because Bizum is not provided. Can the team give a specific deadline when we can see this feature added? Otherwise, I'm afraid I'll need to start using a competitor that has this feature. It's tough to manage my finances well in Spain through Bunq if you are not able to provide this feature. Especially now that you raised your fees, and it's been almost a year since you said you picked this up and were working on it - it's only fair to expect you to have this sorted soon.
Hi there @New-Blue-Leopard-1955303891#289862 👋
Thank you so much for reaching out to us and for your interest in continuing to use bunq!
I totally understand that as a person living in Spain, you are facing issues with some payments because Bizum is not yet supported by bunq. While I'm unable to provide any specific deadlines about this, our team is working to ensure you always get the best experience! I'd like you to know that we will share any updates regarding Bizum with you through all platforms as well as here 🎉
An urgent +1 to Bunq for support of Biz
There are so many people moving to Spain who want to keep their bunq account that you should add support for bizum. Because how can someone bank like a local in Spain without having bizum?
Bizum should be a must in Bunq
@Pau-Azure-Eagle#88520 Bizum in Spain is essential, even taxes can be pain via Bizum. It's instantaneous and so simple to use. In Spain it's an easy way to pay for everything; from the local shop, online, market stalls, friends, national and local taxes. If you provide a Spanish IBAN then you have to support BiZUM, they go hand in hand.
If I do not get Bizum in Bunq soon, I will open an account with a proper bank. Everybody in Spain uses Bizum to transfer money. This is a huge gap, I am tired of saying "No sorry, I do not have Bizum, you need to transfer the money using my bank account." At the end nobody wants to do transfers with bank account numbers
@New-White-Otter-2190415938#296455 That's why bunq has the option to send someone a payment request, so that someone doesn't have to transfer money manually. bunq is a bank from the Netherlands that operates across Europe. You cannot, in my opinion, expect bunq to support all the different app/services in all those countries. Therefore, I don't expect bunq to support Bizum in the near future.
If possible please add support for Bizum, Openbank and ING have it, to avoid people moving to the competition it makes sense 👍🏻
@thijsoost#296456 sorry but that's nonsense.
bunq doesn't have to support each and every app, but if they have a local entity (Bunq is registered in Spain, much like, say, ING is) and local IBANs, and actively target that country's population to become customers, then the most widely used app wouldn't be too much of an ask.
there's tens of millions potential customers. Me myself I've been with Bunq for a year and seriously consider going to another fintech solution that does support it if Bunq doesn't have Bizum by september 2025 (when my prepaid Bunq pack expires).
The amount of times I had to say "sorry, can you transfer money to this account instead" in the past year is astonishing and the looks on the face of the other party is always speaking for itself.
And sure, there's bunq.me links, but I can't choose to disable payment methods that cost me money. Sure, there's payment requests, but that's a hassle for myself and the other party.
Other fintech companies also don't support each and every app out there, but at least they support the leading ones in their respective markets.
And just to clarify - BUNQ has local IBANs in 5 countries iirc, so that'd mean potentially 5 apps besides iDeal until Wero becomes a thing, which will take several years at best.
It's 2025 and still not bizum. Bunq in Spain withour bizum is like a bike without pedals... please implement this to increase your customer base and our funcationalities
Bizum in Spain is really import, it is one of the best ways to order and pay online. So far I now, Bizum more used the PayPal in Spain. I use it more than my Mastercard now.
N26 took a while, but they implemented Bizum a view years ago too.
Therefor bunq is a nice additional bank for me, but to become a chance to be my first choice Bizum is a must have for me.
We need BIZUM in Spain. Pleaseee
I would echo all of the above. This is a no brainer for Bunq in terms of return on investment. You will get signficantly more customers and will be able to really break through in Spain
I can't wait to get rid of my Spanish bank. They deliver below expectations on so many levels but not having Bizum is a huge adoption blocker for me. It restricts me from participating in financial life in Spain. The Bunq pay-me link is an alternative but not a great one in an environment where everybody uses Bizum.
I know we are all moving to a European scale quick-payment tool but that might take years to be adopted widely. In the meantime, if Bunq had Bizum, I could cancel my Spanish bank accounts today!
