iDEAL is a payment service used by most Dutch web shops. Payments with iDEAL are processed instantly and it allows the store to send your package more efficiently.
You can pay with bunq online via iDEAL, both on your phone and on your desktop π±π₯
How do I pay on my phone?
You will automatically get redirected to the app when selecting bunq as the bank you wish to make the iDEAL payment from.
How do I pay on desktop?
- Go to the Camera tab in your bunq app
- Scan the QR Code that appears on your screen using your phone
- Accept the Payment πΈ

The merchant sees the following info when they receive your iDEAL payment:
- BIC
- your IBAN
- your name
- entrance code
- amount
Unverified users can't iDeal as a payment method.
I made an iDEAL payment and it was credited from my account but the webshop says they didn't receive the payment. What do I do? You can contact the merchant and give them the transaction ID to help them identify the transfer. You can ask for the transfer ID in the Support chat. If that doesnβt help, you can let us know - then, the bank we should contact the merchant directly to help them find the transfer for you.
You can use iDeal as a payment method only with your NL IBAN / Dutch Bank Account π³π±
You can make iDEAL payments through your phone and on your browser (fully supported by bunq Web). Whenever you need to pay with iDEAL through your web browser, you'll be automatically redirected to bunq Web to verify the payment.
