Hallo ik heb nu al enkele keren meegemaakt dat een Terminal Apple pay weigert hebben meer mensen hier last van

    It’s not normal that a terminal would block Apple Pay specifically. Contactless payments with a physical card still works?

    You might try to pay with an Apple Pay Mastercard where only Maestro is accepted, or vice versa.

      Never happened to me. But what type of card is in your wallet? Maestro or MasterCard?

        @Johannes-Maroon-Frog-743821775#91067 Hmm, with a particular reason or error? I have to say I almost never come across any rejections. Unfortunately there are a few stores like Total and WE which have low limits of you want to pay with your phone via nfc. Total is the only store that I came across that doenst accept mobile payments.

        It helps if you use Maestro icm with Apple 🍏 Pay because most stores in the Netherlands don't accept Mastercard

              @Johannes-Maroon-Frog-743821775#91072 MasterCard isn’t accepted everywhere. Try using your Maestro instead.

                Total will not accept any phone or watch payment. It's not just Apple Pay. The local pump owner told me it was a error in the configuration of their terminals that has to be solved by headquarters. Contactless with cards works just fine.

                That means it is configurable in terminals whether they will accepts contactless payment from other devices than cards.

                So yes, it happens to more people, but is due to bad configuration of terminals.

                Other than this case I have never experienced refusal of Apple Pay in The Netherlands. Using Maestro off course as it is most accepted here.
