Someone just transfered money to my Bunq account, using a bank that supports instant payments.

I have not yet received the money. Could it be that it takes longer then the 10 seconds advertised, or is something else going on?

We checked the IBAN info and it was all correct.

    @Martijn-Teal-Panda-928201895#92289 was it a German bank by any chance?

      @Sander#92290 Nope. It was a dutch bank (SNS) that says they support the Instant Payments method

        @Martijn-Teal-Panda-928201895#92291 Aaah. There's a difference there. Dutch banks came up with their "own" version of Instant payments rather than implementing the existing European version. As a consequence those two are not compatible (yet). bunq implemented the European version months ago already. Unfortunately only ABN Amro in the Netherlands also added support for the European version.

          @Sander#92292 Thank you so much! Now i’ll just wait and it should arrive within a few days.

              @RoyNederpelt#93511 Sander said that only ABN and bunq support the European version of instant payments. So that means ING does not support it and payments will take the regular amount of time.

              Next time, if you're able to use iDeal to send money to your bunq account, that would've been faster.

                    @Peter-Lime-Starfish#107223 Yup, Rabobank doesn't support the European instant payment scheme, while ABN does.

                      Jacob, which Dutch banks do support the European system? Do you know that?

                        @Jakob#107224 Jacob, which Dutch banks do support the European system? Do you know that?

                          @Peter-Lime-Starfish#107227 Hi Peter, only ABN and bunq support the European system. However, bunq doesn't support the Dutch system. That's why it's fast from ABN to bunq (both support the European system), and it's also fast from Rabo to ABN (both support the Dutch system), but it takes a while directly from Rabo to bunq (Rabo only supports the Dutch system, and bunq only supports the European system).

                          I hope I was able to explain this in an understandable manner :)

                            @Jakob#107228 Allright and thanks!

                              Elise changed the title to Instant payment question.
