  • Additional questions about bunq Travel Card

@JohnDo#96913 It now says that ‘travel pack’ is a membership though. It says it’s free but I only have to pay a one time fee for the card.

    Sorry for the spam. Just am kinda confused by the new memberships and I find together not very clear anymore with regards to these kinds of announcements.

      @R#96914 Sorry Rene, I misunderstood you. Yes, you are right. When you change to Travel Card 💳 membership.. you don't have a monthly fee and yes you have a card 💳.

      But keep in mind that Travel Card membership isn't a regular bank account like all the other memberships. To put it simple, you will have a card 💳 you can add money to. That's it. A cool card 💳 tho.

        Ahh fair enough, seemed to good to be true to have a free account with card ;). It’s a good move to cancel the free subscription, as bunq can focus more on their premium members now :)

          If I only have a bunq travel card is my money still protected by the Dutch Deposit Guarantee Scheme?

            @joaojoliveira#96921 Hi 👋🏼 Joao,
            good question! I would think it does. But this a pending question we as mods asked bunq. So as soon as we have an answer, we will let our fellow bunqers 🌈 know 👊

              @Jose-Orange-Bear-1362079935#96887 @PP#96905 I received an answer from a Product owner at bunq. The Free plan is discontinued completely. This applies to all users. Only those that are already on Free can keep using it. But there is no way to go back to Free once you leave that plan by upgrading to some other plan. Let's us know in case anything else is unclear, we will make sure to address it at bunq's side. 🙂👍

                Als ik switch naar Travel Card en dus maar 1 IBAN behoud, blijven de automatische afschrijvingen die ik daarop heb ingesteld en al maanden lopen wel doorgaan?

                  Vorrei solo capire se associato al piano Travel si riceve anche un unico IBAN come nel piano Free.

                    Hi 👋 @MMNCS#97002

                    Er is geen IBAN inbegrepen bij het Travel card membership. Je hebt alleen een pas waar je geld op kunt storten en mee kunt betalen.

                      Hi 👋 @Stefano-Lime-Lion#97006

                      No, it's just a card. There are no bank accounts (IBAN) included. If you wish to use bunq as a bank account you can check Premium, Joint or Pack.

                        Ma si può ricaricare la carta con le stesse modalità con cui si ricarica un conto Bunq qualsiasi? Tipo iDeal o Sofort, ecc?

                          @Stefano-Lime-Lion#97009 Yes you have multiple choices for depositing to your card.

                          • iDEAL
                          • SOFORT
                          • Bank transfer
                          • Credit/Debit card

                            @joaojoliveira#96921 Hi!

                            Good news about the Deposit Guarantee Scheme:

                            bunq Free, Premium, Joint, Business and Travel Card accounts are covered by the Dutch De- posit Guarantee Scheme. This means that the funds on these account(s) are insured (up to €100,000 for all accounts combined) in case we go bankrupt. Please check www.dnb.nl for more information about the Deposit Guarantee Scheme

                            See also: https://www.bunq.com/en/pricing-sheet

                              @Tim#97011 Ma se puoi fare un trasferimento bancario vuol dire che alla carta viene associato comunque un IBAN, giusto? Anche se magari non ha funzionalità da conto in banca vero e proprio.

                                @JohnDo#97013 Great news, thank you!

                                  @Stefano-Lime-Lion#97015 In the background there might be an account to receive your incoming deposits but this account is blocked for all other transactions and can't be seen or managed by you.
