  • Additional questions about bunq Travel Card

@Sander#99661 This is something that caused the issue and I think that if this mechanism was clear before I would have not activated the travel card even with the option of inviting 3 friends, that means zero efforts not even 9,99 euro to pay....easy way I was trapped in the misunderstanding...I think you should consider to make this clearer, also in the promo email;-)

    @Mauro-Orange-Wolf#99663 Hi 👋🏼 Mauro,

I agree with Sander. Sure I can understand not everyone reads terms and conditions in detail (although, bunq made them very easy to read). But, their were several topics here on Together explaining all you need to know about the Travel Card. And if you had any questions, you could have asked them on Together or via Support.

So, yes bunq 🌈 has the obligation to inform their users, but again.. users also have the obligation to inform themselves before ordering something.

With the bank I trust yes, I would do that

If russian country bin is a bug, what country bin is the corect one? Everyone will have local country bin depends on the adress?

@Marko-Navy-Penguin#99698 This is asked a few times already in this topic; the BIN lists are outdated. bunq got a recycled range from Mastercard. But now the lists need to be updated everywhere. bunq is working on it 👍

@Sander#99700 I know that, but my question is what country bin my travel card will have at the end when bunq&Mastercard fix everything? NL, DE, my local country depending on my adress in the app (EEA is a big region, can bunq provide local cards for every country? thats for sure not that easy) ...

@Marko-Navy-Penguin#99704 As far as I know you get a card for your own country. 👍

@Michiell#99714 My card starts with the same numbers and i am not from NL. I doubt bunq will provide local country bin’s for every EEA country, thats not that easy ...

@Marko-Navy-Penguin#99719 they do for the other cards so I don't see why it would be different now. 🙂

@Sander#99721 What cards? I have debit card too and its not my local country bin.

@Marko-Navy-Penguin#99723 For me the 8th digit of the card number indicates the country. My virtual Apple Pay card (from the update where they launched Apple Pay) has an Italian identifier while my other cards have a Dutch identifier. 🙂

                            MasterCard debit NL = 5374-6502
                            MasterCard debit DE = 5374-6503
                            MasterCard debit IT = 5374-6506
                            MasterCard Credit NL = 5223-1902

(5223-1903). Kommt darauf an welche BIN Liste ich verwende

@Michiell#99727 So there are only cards with NL, DE and IT bin’s in bunq? That makes sense...
