Warum sind alle nur so ungeduldig? Bunq ist einfach super. Alles funktioniert wie es soll und man kann ein wenig warten bis bei einem neuen Unternehmen alles rund läuft. Einfach abwarten und alles kommt so wie es soll. 👍😉

This question may have been asked somewhere else already, but as I couldn’t find the answer fast I have to ask here:

Recently my bunq travel card was replaced as there were some issues that limited the full capabilities of the card. Now Apple Pay is officially available for bunq in NL, I noticed I can add all my cards to Apple Pay, except my travel card.

What’s the reason for this? Are there still issues with the new card or is this simply a bug?

René the reason is that the Travelcard doesn't support apple pay yet. bunq is working on that. Apparently it's harder to get it to work for this special card. It will be avaliable as soon as possible. 🙂

Raul Does the travel card has the same design as the others, because it the pictures it looks to be a different material, i think that because of the reflections

Idris🇳🇱🇬🇧 The travel card is a bit different. It’s more ‘shiny’ than the other cards. That’s probably also the difference you see in the pictures.

Ich habe über Sixt einen Mietwagen gebucht. Die Kaution wurde nicht geblockt sondern von meinem Konto eingezogen. Nach mehrmaligen Kontakt mit dem Support von bunq habe ich die Kaution nach mehr als einem Monat erstattet bekommen. So bringt mir die Travel-Card leider keine Vorteile.

Die Vorteile sind ja auch nicht so gravierend - lediglich dass die Karte vom Typ "Credit" ist bringt ggf. Vorteile hinsichtlich der Kartenakzeptanz. Allerdings hätte Sixt ja wie in Deinem Fall die Kaution am Ende auch freigeben müssen - und hierbei scheint es ja dann Probleme gegeben zu haben.

How does the bunq Travel Card work with deposits?
If you want to use your bunq Travel Card for a deposit, such as for a rental car or hotel room, the merchant will accept your card just like they would a traditional credit card. Since no credit is used when making the payment, the entire retainer of the deposit will be deducted directly from your account at the time of purchase.

This means you need to have the available funds in your account when paying the deposit. Once the deposit is released, you will then receive the funds back in your account and you won't risk having a negative balance or falling into debt.

Can I receive a credit/travel card abroad?
I’m traveling already and want to order a new card to use here.

Ju Buosi during the order process you can select any country, but I vaguely remember that cards are only shipped within the EU (or EEA?). I can't seem to find the post though, so maybe I'm mistaken. Anyway, I strongly recommend against sending your card to another address than your home address: bunq is dependent on local mail services, and based on various topics here it sometimes takes multiple weeks before cards arrive due to slowness in the system of the local mail services. Unless you are staying for a long time on the same place then I'd not send it to your holiday address to avoid missing its delivery. 🙂

Dus de bunq travel card kan je niet gebruiken bij de Albert Heijn, maar kan je dat wel middels Apple Pay voor de Travel Card?

Apple Pay is niets meer dan een portemonnee voor virtuele kopieën van je pas. Als je de Travel Card zal toevoegen en dat is een Mastercard, wordt die dus ook via Apple Pay als dusdanig herkend.
