  • Offline cvc code

It would be nice to have the cvc code available when I'm in the middle of nowhere. I might be in an area with no or little coverage while abroad and don't remember the cvc code yet. It would be a shame if I had to keep track of the code outside the bunq app.

@Sven-Lime-Owl#98688 How do you shop online without also having access to the app?

@Jakob#98689 Internetcafe that works with ethernet rather than wifi. Is one situation that springs to mind, but I would never ever enter any sensitive details on a computer in an internetcafe lol.

Eventhough the chance is small that this is needed, I think it's a nice addition for bunq to just save the cvc offline when the app is connected to the internet. FOR example when your child wants to buy something online, needs the code and you don't have internet on your phone where ever you are.

1Password allows you saving your creditcard details so you can always have it with you also when you are not connected with the internet or as alternative open a note and save it with a password protection on the phone

Hmm, there are some corner cases here I think. Imagine being logged in on two devices, one is online and one is offline. On the online device you regenerate your CVC token: your offline device will be out of sync. And for the rotating CVC it's also not an option, this would only work for static CVC codes. bunq would need to consinder those corner cases then. 🙂

Subject is already three years old, but today I ran into the situation that I wanted to buy WiFi service on a plane. I was unable to do so by the lack of the cvc code.

@Nicolaas-Red-Starfish#240051 by the lack of the cvc code

The cards have static CVC codes if you disable rotating CVCs, so if you note it down somewhere (for example, a password manager app might be ideal) then you can use it anywhere even without internet access.
