• Djoeri Timessen: bunq’s new CPO and the youngest banking director in the Netherlands

Hey bunqers,

We’ve got some exciting news to share! Our very own Djoeri Timessen has become bunq’s Chief Product Officer after dedicating the last 5 years to helping bunq become the true alternative to traditional banking. 🎉

Even more impressive, he has done this at just 29 years old, making him the youngest board member at a Dutch bank. This wasn’t just a simple promotion, however. In order to become bunq's CPO Djoeri needed approval from the DNB, bunq’s managing board and bunq’s supervisory board. ✅

The DNB rarely approves directors under the age of 40, let alone those under 30, so you can imagine how this is even more of an incredible achievement.

As CPO Djoeri will have complete oversight of our product roadmap to make sure we keep pushing the boundaries of innovation to deliver amazing features for all bunqers.

Have you got any questions for Djoeri? We’d love to hear them! Comment below and he’ll come through with some answers!

      Congratulations Djoeri! 🙌 Nice work

Job well done! Congrats! 👍 🌈

          Wow, great work Djoeri! Congratulations🎉🎉

Impressive ! My sincere congratulations with this well earned promotion. Make it a success

              Nice Djoeri! congrats

                Congratulations, Djoeri, gefeliciteerd!

Congratulations, Djoeri, gefeliciteerd! Being there from the very early Project Clear moments that is certainly well deserved.

Since nobody is asking any questions, I will! As CPO you’re in total charge of the products bunq offers. Will the two-price-point system remain or will you change the offering in response to the feedback you’ve had on the forum after the launch of bunq Premium? And what’s a product or service you’re eager to introduce that’s not yet available from the big banks? Lastly, how do you think PSD II will change the landscape of banking? Through PSD II and open banking, much of what bunq does in the app could be mimicked (Payconiq for paying through QR codes, there will be apps for real-time notifications of balance changes, etc…), how will bunq adapt to stay relevant? Of course I also want to congratulate you on the new position!

Congrats Djoeri! Looking forward to innovate Bunq together ♻💡

Yes I asked about PSD 2 also. How will Bunq stay the course? Also stick to guarantee < 100 K deposits/ funds as this is also about to ‘change’ through EU/ ECB banking union ambitions. See the link I dropped in another conversation. 🔎
