• Installing bunq sandbox on phone

Hi,

I installed the sandbox apk on a Nexus. I start the application and asks me to fill in the phone number, so I type in the phone number of one of the available sandbox users found here https://doc.bunq.com/settings but then is asks me to scan a qr code with another phone to allow access. So how do I setup the sandbox app on a real phone?

    Hi there Lars,

Currently you can only use the Sandbox app on an Android device 🙆.

But no worries if you don't have one! You can access the same tool using an emulator. This link can walk you through how to go about this --> https://doc.bunq.com/api/1/page/android-emulator-setup.

Let me know if this helped clear things up 😄!

      Hi Elise,

I am using a real android device (the Nexus), but my question is how to login using one of the sandbox users in the bunq sandbox app? When I open the bunq sandbox app it asks for the phone number, but when I use one of the phone numbers of the sandbox users it asks me to scan the qr code with another phone.

Also I suspect the Android emulator is forged in the mount Doom. No one should ever have to use it.

        Hi again Lars 👋,

If you go to this link --> https://doc.bunq.com and click on the Settings page, you can fill in your API key which will then provide you with sandbox users.

From there, you can use the login alias of those users in the special version and see the effect of your API creations 😄!

Please let me know if this was able to solve it 🙆.

          Hi Elise,

I will try to explain better what I am doing and where I am stuck:

          1) I installed the sandbox apk on a android phone (nexus)

          2) I open the bunq app

          3) It asks me to fill in the phonenumber

          4) I login to the https://doc.bunq.com/settings page and fill in the phonenumber listed under Gray C.V. (569) sandbox user

          5) The bunq app then shows me a Scan QR screen with "This number has already been used to register bunq. Scan the QR code or verify with SMS to continue"

This is where I am stuck. How do I get passed this screen?

            Hey Lars,

The bunq app indeed ask you for a phone number of the device you are using the bunq app on. This phone number must be a real working phone number. If you have acces to the phone number you've entered, then you have 2 options:

Let us know if you've managed to login 👍

              Hi Kevin,

Ok thanks for clarifying that. Is it possible this can be skipped somehow for the sandbox app since we have several development phones without a SIM card.
