tobyx Just tried to log into the app on a new device. It asks for a phone number to add a new app. It will send an SMS to the phone number.

So the website is different in that you don't need a phone. I like it, I was always worried what would happen if I lost my phone.

Wessel The phone number can be any number, though. It doesn‘t have to be your own number.

Jakob @Wessel Plus, because you're logging in on a new device, aside from entering your login code, we'll require you to scan your fingers, or enter your passphrase.

Wessel I mean any number that can receive text messages. Afaik it doesn‘t have to be linked to your account or anything.

Wessel The phone number you are asked for first is used to register the device. Then, once the device is known to bunq you can login to any bunq account as long as you have the credentials (phone number / email + six digit code) and in most cases also the additional verification (hand scan or passphrase) 🙂
