Auto VAT when no VAT is applied

Whenever I receive a payment on my business account from a company outside of The Netherlands, no VAT is applied on the bill.
How to arrange this with the new Auto VAT functionality?
(Which is really great by the way 😀)

The best way to arrange that is to use two different bank accounts for receiving the payments.

For example, you can have one account where all the companies from the Netherlands pay you, and that can be enabled for saving Auto VAT.

And then you can have a bank account for companies outside The Netherlands to pay you, and that can be disabled for Auto VAT 🙌

What is the purpose of using 2 different accounts? We should be able to add creditors to the Auto VAT list instead of bunq doing this for every incoming credit. Can this be realized, because now I am still stuck soing the same kind of work (moving VAT) but in reverse. Little more thought could have made this a great functionality. bunq is close... keep it up guys!

Matthew Niederberger using multiple ibans solved exactly the problem you’re having right? You could even develop a small script that moves money from the auto VAT enabled Iban to the other one to have all income in one place. (Using the API)

Sander I don’t want to use multiple IBANs. And although I work with APIs in my professional life, as a paying customer I expect the services I use to take my needs into consideration. Maybe I am just too demanding or lazy and I don’t feel like updating my invoice IBANs and communicating and verifying this (again) to my clients.

Matthew Niederberger I see. bunq tries to keep the features as simple as possible but I can see that for advanced usage this is less useful. It’s best to share this feedback as well with ideas@bunq.com, then it ends up with the product team directly. 👍🙂
