I want this!
This really needs improvement, I keep getting questions about the link that is send of it's trustworthy or not. This also means that people wait longer or don't even pay back at all until you remind them. At this moment a lot of my friend are reverting to using tikkie because of this. Trying to get as many friends to use bunq directly instead of tikkie but the poor payment request description is not helping.. This had been requested now for almost 2 years? Please give us an indication if this is going to get attention and if so when we can expect it. Thnx
@Kevin-Magenta-Akita#139682 Please give us an indication if this is going to get attention and if so when we can expect it
bunq doesn't give such updates unfortunately. We can only bump the topic and hope that enough bunqers also want to see this feature. And then hope that bunq picks up on it. 🙂👍
Dear people at bunq, please look into this. It isn't so hard to simply add an additional message like the ones from Tikkie or ING. I keep getting asked if this is spam / people keep telling me they didn't pay me because the link looks malicious.
Koen said it went straight on the wish list! Give them a chance to catch up and. Check again in another two years :)
Other bump. Keep this topic alive. Having a reasonable looking payment message should really be part of the basics. And it's so easy to implement. A line of text with two variables: "Could you please pay me $amount for $description?"
Please change the link into a more readable payment request instead of a link with a technical GUID !
I love the suggestion of bluewallmedia:
"Could you please pay me $amount for $description?"
Reasons:
- People don't trust the current link
- People don't see the amount
- It's not professional to share only a link
- Save +/- 15 characters in each payment request
So, I just listened to a nu.nl podcast featuring Ali where they talked about bunq. Near the end, Ali says:
"Het doet iets met je als je een bericht stuurt naar een bank met een idee dat het zus of zo nog beter kan, niet alleen voor mij maar ook voor 1000 andere mensen, en dat er dan naar je geluisterd wordt."
Translation:
"It gives you a certain feeling if you send a message to a bank with an idea on how to improve on something, not only for me but also for 1000 others, and that they actually listen to you."
If bunq would actually listen, I might just have this feeling. But I don't have it and I guess with me a lot of other users. This topic is nearly 2.5 years old and NOTHING has been done yet. And no, I don't count putting this on a wishlist.
bunq, please understand this: In order to spread the word about bunq (I still do love the app) it's of paramount importance to give each and every person a great experience using bunq. This includes people paying a request through the request link they receive.
EDIT: *gives instead of give
@bluewallmedia#142186 Inderdaad een aparte uitspraak van Ali gezien bunq zelden luistert naar klanten. Of nouja... Misschien wordt er wel geluisterd, er wordt alleen niets/weinig mee gedaan hehe.
Hi @bluewallmedia#142186
cc @LH-Black-Wolf#142204
Lets not try and turn this idea topic into a discussion whether bunq listens to their users or not. There's tremendous amounts of wishes and feedback coming in at bunq every day and it's up to bunq to prioritize and decide what, if and when something will be improved. Just because your 'wish' hasn't been implemented or fixed doesn't mean bunq doesn't listen to their users. In fact, you seem to have no clue how much bunq implements and improves in hard numbers based on feedback from the users otherwise you wouldn't post such comment.
Please keep it on-topic here and if you wish to debate the fact that bunq listens or doesn't listen then find an existing topic or open a new one. Don't forget to keep it constructive either ;)
Also, I hope to see the above will be improved too. Would be very nice to have the Requests and bunq.me links clearer, and look more 'trustworthy'.
@Tim#142208 Tim, I truly admire bunq and their effort to revolutionise banking. I think you guys are doing a great job. Also thanks for pointing out to me to keep it on topic. So, here we go:
Could you give us an estimation on how much longer it will take to implement this request? It has been 2.5 years since this topic has been opened. To me it seems like such a great improvement and with the little amount of coding knowledge I have, I think it wouldn't have to take a very long time to build this.
@bluewallmedia#142216
I wish I could give you an estimate on that but I can't as bunq doesn't disclose such information and because I'm not a bunq employee :)
Just as a small fyi, purple dots 🟣 are for community moderators and blue dots 🔵 are for employees.
I sincerely hope bunq will fix this of course as it looks relatively easy.
Have a great evening though!
@Tim#142217 Ah, thanks for pointing that out to me. I thought you were an employee ;) You too have a great evening.
Let give this one another bump!
Bump +1
I would really love these basically necessities
