I am sure someone has posted about this, but the reason why I would like to switch from Ing to this bank is because I cannot order anything online unless the website uses iDeal. My question is can I order items online with a maestro card and does it have the 3 number code on the back?

Hi Venelin!
Cool that you think about to switch to bunq 🌈👍
You will be able to do online payments with our debit Mastercard, but the Maestro card does not have a card number and also no CVC code. If you are a Premium user you can request 2 Mastercards to use it for worldwide payments and online payments. The Mastercards has a rotating CVC code which you can find in your app.
More information about the Mastercard you can find here: https://together.bunq.com/topic/worldwide-mastercard ✌

I think that you mean the Secure Code of a Master Card and not a Maestro Card. This is the CVC code, that you can use for online shopping.
Only a Bunq Creditcard from MasterCard are provisioned with a Secure Code. A regular Maestro Card will not have a Secure Code.
With Bunq, this Secure Code is not printed on the card (from security perspective a very good think). The secure code from the Bunq Master Card you can find in the mobile app, and this secure code will change every x minutes/seconds so that when your secure code will be compromised, it will be only a very limited risk (time) that this code can be misused.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

But wouldn’t it be nice if bunq issues Maestrocards with the 16 digit card number? So you can use it for online payments as well?

Hi Tuur, we offer a Mastercard because it's better supported internationally compared to the Maestro card. However you can add your wish to the wishlist and when there are more users that want this we will definitely check it out! More about our public wishlist can be found here: https://together.bunq.com/topic/our-new-public-wishlist 👍
