• BUNQ PSD2 SMS scam?

@Teal-Badger#116386 That's clearly a scam , to steal your bunq login details. Can you maybe also report this to report@bunq.com ?

    What's with the double messages... :-( email forwarded to report@bunq

      Ik heb hetzelfde bericht ontvangen, ander 06 nummer. Zal dit ook melden. Zal echt wel scam zijn!

        @Teal-Badger#116395 Thanks!
        I have also send an email to the registrar of the scam domain, to report abuse.

          Weird that these people receive that massage knowing they are bunq customers. Could be completely random or they got the phone numbers somewhere else.

            @Jos-Golden-Unicorn#116412 The way I see it, you get a leaked phone number database...Now you just have to put them in your contact list and in bunq app you can see who in your contact list is bunq user. Easy, isn't it?

              My wife and I are both entrepreneurs. Our mobile numbers are registered with the local chamber of commerce... So that number is more or less publicly available...

                The putting them in your contact list to confirm a bunq is a bit worrying... it's a nice feature... But also a great exploit opportunity

                  If you remove your number as an alias of an account, can people still see you as a bunq customer through the app? If not, that would be a way to stop people from knowing.

                    @Jakob#116427 Depends. You can also have an email address as an alias. When someone has one of your details that are registered at bunq as an alias, then that person will be able to see that you have a bunq account. Somewhat similar to how you can message someone on WhatsApp when you have their number. 👍
