    Most shops do generally accept Maestro (sticker on the door) but transactions are denied by the payment terminal. Contactless MasterCard payments work, but chip payments not anymore (January 2020). DSK Bank ATM does not accept Bunq debit card (January 2020), only the MasterCard credit card.

      Bring a lot more cash than initially thought. Even buying a ticket for publicity transportation can only be done with cash. Most smaller shops don’t accept card and very rarely Maestro, so Mastercard is indeed the best choice!
