12 000 KES should be enough for a few days.

    @bunq#119124 Most big banks work in the bigger cities like Nairobi and Mombasa. But not all of them. You have to try some devices. Barclays also works extra to the list above. However in more rural towns the banks often decline the card. In Narok for example no bank gave me cash and I had to ask others with other (Dutch) bank cards to withdraw for me.

    Most payment devices in restaurants and hotels (if they have them) work.
    But not always. The biggest issue was the card payment device at Mount Kenya. I was not able to pay my park entry fee here with the travel card. And they don’t accept cash.
