Card payments wonΒ΄t be an issue in Luxembourg, but it is always convenient to withdraw some cash.

€20 should be enough for a few days, since you can use your card for nearly everything.

In Luxembourg, it is common for a service charge of up to 15% to be added to your bill.

When this is added, an additional tip isn’t required, but many people add a Euro or two for good service.

    My bunq Maestro card didn't work at many places, be sure to use your Mastercard. Also, contactless payments never worked for me, even with the Mastercard. If you run into this, try sticking the card in the payment terminal.

      ATMs from the "Spuerkeess" may be used for free, at least, it never had to pay any fee (by now).
      Contactless payments via Apple Pay works for me almost everywhere.

            Keep in mind that public transportations are always free to use! This makes travelling cheaper in this quite expensive country.
            If you like some culture, consider buying a Luxemburg City Card. It is 28€ a day and worth the money because you can access mostly all museums and exibitions all over the country with your family (up to 5 persons).
