Do you happen to have a VPN on? This can be a cause.
Theodorus-Azure-Swan Do you mean unsecured a wifi without key or password?
Theodorus-Azure-Swan From our own holiday experience: The app works fine in a public hotel Wi-Fi. Just as with WLAN switched off via LTE or 3G.
Theodorus-Azure-Swan There should not be any problems. Actually works just as well in public W-LAN. :)
It is true, however, that one should perhaps refrain from doing his banking in a public Wi-Fi. About mobile radio would be much more comfortable. 😁
I hope the app uses things like key pinning ... then the attack surface in an unsecured network is at least much smaller.
Jakob And the risk on this side of the phone? Mobile is safer than public WLAN
I also had problems in public WLAN, but only in special cases (eg in New Zealand in the InterCity). Then app tells you just 'network error', even though the Internet works on its own.
Theodorus-Azure-Swan You can
Why is it that when someone asks a question in Dutch the reply is in Dutch but all other replies after are in German?
BlackEyedNL I think this is because this is a public forum and people from all around Europe are active here. Sometimes they like to talk in their own language. Of course sometimes this makes the discussion harder. But because we all have the nice build-in 'google translate' function, I don't think people see this as a problem.
Ambiebambi I must say I sometimes find it hard to follow a discussion as I always work from the web version of Together which (at least on mobile) has no translate built in. Not nowing a lot of German doesn't help too ;)
TwitNour Well, I get that. Even the translate function doesn't always make it understandable to be honest. But then I just leave the discussion to the people who do understand it, haha. It's not ideal, I'll admit that.
Ambiebambi Let's get back on topic here now ;)
Where is the problem? The translation German-Dutch and back is actually very good. Also for English. Not so good is the translation for the French. But they do not want to write / speak English anyway. So it makes limited sense as a German to respond to Dutch contributions in English. And your own Dutch is usually not so good 😬
One of the benefits of modern technology!
Before I was not able to help people in languages I don’t know and now I am. So independent of your tongue, you can get the best help here.
...or we should all learn Esperanto, but that is a dream that has long gone...
