  • Downgrading to Travel Card: do I keep my IBAN?

After having bank accounts at both Bunq and ASN for over a year, I finally decided to fully stick to ASN and cancel my Bunq Premium membership. I have already closed all but the main Bunq account and applied for the Switch Service to make sure any remaining transactions will be redirected to ASN, but it takes a while for this service to start.
So I was wondering whether the IBAN of my main Bunq account will stay the same once I downgrade my membership to Travel Card and if all transactions will work as usual until the Switch Service starts.

Thanks!

    Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹ @JeffreyG#122844

I have forwarded your question as it is very interesting, and a bit complicated. But I will let you know as soon as I hear more.

    Have a great day. ๐ŸŒˆ

Did you ever got a follow up? Iโ€™m looking to do something similar but thereโ€™s no information available on what the Travel card membership entails (aside from the card itself).

@TechNL#125661 So one IBAN stays available (Iโ€™m guessing the last one that remains after having closed the others?) to receive money on?

You canโ€™t use the account to do iDeal payments? And if you want to transfer money out youโ€™ll have to transfer the entire balance?

As far as I've heard here you can receive money from other accounts even with the Travel Card membership. But you can of course only spend the money with the Travel Card, not in any other way like iDeal.

@Jakob#125673 As far as I've heard here you can receive money from other accounts even with the Travel Card membership.

That's also what I've been told. Only sending money is possible solely to accounts with your own name on them. ๐Ÿ™‚
