When I first saw there was an automatic top up feature, I assumed this was what it was!

Topping up below a threshold seems more useful to me than the recurring scheduled fixed-amount top-ups.

I’m not sure what the exact requirements are, but if ov-chipcard can do it (are they considered an escrow service?), a proper bank should not have difficulties in doing the same imho.

As said by some others, this is what I assumed the auto-top function was. Knab has the same option and I loved it. Although the big advantage was that I had a savings account with interest at that time to do the top-up from.
