Je gaat dan geheid gedoe krijgen met de taal van de overschrijving zodat je iets moet bouwen dat aan bedrijf X iets overgemaakt wordt in het Nederlands maar aan bedrijf Y in het Duits etc.

Ik zou het nog wel wat breder willen trekken. Gewoon gebruik van variabelen toestaan in de omschrijving, eventueel met ‘eigen gemaakte’ variabelen. Die kunnen dan achter een ‘advanced’ knop ofzo (of niet Justin 😎) en dan in je settings kunt configureren, misschien laten samenstellen met simpele formules ofzo.

I think simplicity is key here. Variables are a great idea!
I’d stay away from syntax in the message and present it like a clean UI element with a form once clicked. The UI element could be as simple as text with a background color for instance. Have a couple of drop downs in the form for possible predefined variables and display options. Maybe start with localization in the phone language or the target bank account language. Although even that is ambiguous in Belgium or Switzerland for instance. Overriding that language would be a nice to have in my opinion but it would be a shame if the localization issue would stall the variables proposal. Big fan of this and if anyone would implement it first it has to be bunq, right?

This is still a great idea. Is this already possible?

I would to see it as syntax with a number of predefined functions with arguments for format and optionally language in the message eg. Huur {date_transaction("mm-yyyy","nl")}
