Hi;
I would like to transfer more than 10.000 EUR from a Turkish bank (Euro account) to my bunq account (Euro). I would like to know is there any surprise cost but sender bank and bunq costs? Does bunq use intermediate bank to receive EURO from Turkish banks?
SWIFT From Turkey

@Fuat-Maroon-Tiger#130851 is there any surprise cost but sender bank and bunq costs
bunq only takes the amount that you can see in the price document. * No other surprises related to costs there. For the sender bank, you would have to ask them. But it doesn't matter if you choose BEN, OUR or something else, the bunq costs are always the same.
@Fuat-Maroon-Tiger#130851 Does bunq use intermediate bank to receive EURO
No, bunq has no intermediate banks whatsoever. That's also the reason why you can only receive Euros via Swift. If you try to send payments in any other currency (USD, Turkish Lira, etc.), then the payment will be rejected and not succeed.

When receiving large amounts of money, there is a possibility that bunq's compliance team will have to check that the money is from a legitimate source (i.e. there's no case of money laundering going on). If that happens, you might be prompted to supply additional documents to bunq and it could take a few days until the investigation finished before you can actually use your money. So if you're for example in a great hurry, keep this in mind.

Should I use my full name or initials as itβs written in my bank account?

@Fuat-Maroon-Tiger#130853 the name is not that sensitive. To be 100% you can check for your configured 'Legal Name' in the Profile section in the app. But both should initials and full first name should work as far as I know.ππ
