• Using the test apk on a second device

I have installed the test apk app on my personal phone. I can sucessfully log in with my test developer accounts (2 users and 1 business user). Now I want to login with these 3 users on a second smartphone that is better for testing purposes. This phone does not have a simcard but does have wifi access.

So I installed the test apk on the test phone, but logging in is giving some issues. I specify the phonenumber from 1 of the developer accounts. I then get a message stating that the number is already in use for a different device and that I need to scan a QR code. That is of course correct since my personal phone already uses the developer accounts.

Unfortunately, scanning the qr code with the correct developer account on my personal phone gives me an error, saying the code is invalid?

What am I missing here...?

    Hey Jorn,

Could you double check the version of these 2 apps ?

The version number can be found on the acknowledgements screen of the app 👍.

      Thanks for the reply Kevin,

So my personal device has an older version: 4.0.4.1, while the test device has the 4.0.7.1. I have updated the version of my personal device. This might have made my situation worse, because I now need to log in there as well.

I now get the identical message as on my second phone: the number is already in use for a different device and that I need to scan a QR code. I now have no devices left were the test accounts are logged in. A colleague of mine might still have access though, but he is currently not available. Any ideas? :(

        Hey Jorn,

In this case you can just deactivate all the devices, by choosing use SMS code. This will then log you out from all devices and sends the SMS verification code to the phone number.

Then you can update the other apps as well on the other devices and try to use the QR!

Let me know if this works of you.

But isn't the sms going to the telephonenumber of one of the test accounts?

            That is unlikely to happen!

The first time you loggen in to on the sandbox app you had to verify a real phone number by actual receiving a the verification SMS on that phone number. There is no way you managed to login on the sandbox app without verifying a real phone number 😮😝.

When you select verify with SMS, it will send the verification SMS to the same number you received the verification sms on originally.

Is bunq receiving the the sms for me instead?

Perhaps I was in a dead zone or something, because I just received several sms after each other. I can log in now.

Just for completion, tried it with QR and that seems to work now. Having the identical version is important!

                Thanks for the help Kevin.

Thanks nice to hear and your always welcome 😄 !

                  Happy coding!
