  • Improve how security deposits are handled

@Elisabeth-Red-Akita#133591 Yep, that is because there‘s no difference in the credit card network between these things. So even if bunq wanted to show it, they don‘t have the information.

@Elisabeth-Red-Akita#133593 Of course. The payments all go through the Mastercard network, and bunq only knows what it is told by them. And as far as that network is concerned, they are not different.

The only difference you can know is if the money has already been finally booked by the merchant. (And that is visible in the app already, even though it‘s a bit hidden.) However this information doesn‘t really help you to understand the motivation of the merchant. Some merchants just book the money later, and some earlier, even if it‘s meant as a deposit.

@Jakob#133592 not totally true, ICS/ABN and ING are also listing reservations separately from real payments, so it should be possible :(

@Cedric-Indigo-Falcon#133863 Does this mean that no reservation is displayed at all when a merchant reserves X€ on the debit or credit card? I also know this from ING and think it makes a lot of sense.

@Hnnng#133865 The reservations are visible, buts it’s very clear which part of your credit-amount is a reservation, and how much you really have to pay

@Cedric-Indigo-Falcon#133863 from the network this is not visible (as far as I remember from working at bunq). So they are using a different way to determine what is a reservation and what is not.

                      Saldo.

                      Beides geht leider nicht.

Tim changed the title to Improve how security deposits are handled.
