Last night bunq launched the green card. A great initiative to make the world a little bit greener, something we surely all want to support!

There have been some informative topics about the green card, as well as an FAQ topic. In this FAQ topic, a large number of questions were asked by bunqers: about the cards, types of memberships and especially about the price of the green card.

However, the FAQ topic has just been closed because the founders editions have sold out.

As the topic was for questions regarding the green card, not specifically the founder edition I decided to open a new topic. There have been many unanswered questions about the green card, including my own question: can you explain the pricing model behind it. Surely a green initiative must be affordable for all?

edit: after letting the green card idea sink in a bit, I have changed my views a bit. I like the idea and the implementation of the card. However, I do still think a different pricing model would have attracted more people. This topic is purely for additional questions that weren't answered in the FAQ post at the time of starting this topic.

    @R#135802

    Thank you for this topic.

    My contribution to this:
    In the app the founder card ordered by today can already be added to the Apple Wallet, because a card number has already been generated.

    The logo in the app looks different to all standard cards.

      Hi.
      So to help trees now I have to:
      Subscribe a premium account
      Subscribe a 99€ green card per year

        @Brice#135838
        You can add the card to AP wallet via the bunq app. If you can see the details of the card you will see a button in the app to add the card to AP wallet. For me it took just ~ 2h after ordering.

          @Heiko-Hartwig#135844 Je ne peux ps encore voir les détails de la carte. Juste mon numéro de Founder.

            Threads for criticisms are already closed - please respect the topic of this thread, don't "spam" here please.

              @Yann-Magenta-Shark#135842

              No, you either get the Green Card on it's own or as a supplement to a Premium membership. You can unsubscribe from promotional e-mails and push notifications from the app under Profile > Security and settings > Notifications.

                @Heiko-Hartwig#135848 René who opened this topic talks also about that so I also wanted my share of « spam ».
                I wouldn’t have done if it wasn’t mentionnes

                  Same problem: bunq mails me to add the card to Apple Pay and use it.
                  But there are no card details and I can’t add it.

                    @gogolscircus#135856

                    Force close the app and it should be there :D

                      @gogolscircus#135856 Starte die App neu und du kannst zu Apple Pay hinzufügen

                        Ik heb de green card aan Apple Watch toegevoegd vanuit ‘passen’ in de app.

                          Well, having read all the feedback, and knowing from the live events that you LISTEN to your clients, I sincerely hope you
                          consider offering the Green Metal Card with a monthly fee in the future.

                            I am interested in: which one is the real color?
