Gooooood morning fellow bunqers! The dog is in the house again :)
Today I just want to propose a small UI improvement of the 'bug reporting' screen.
Ok John, but why is an improvement necessary?
Good question of course. But first I want to say that I love the new way of reporting bugs in the app. And let's not forget, reporting bugs is very important to improve the app even more. Having that said, I notice 3 things in the current proces:
- You only have one single line field per question to put in your answer. Although you can type much more than the length suggests, that might not be clear to users. But even if it is, its makes it hard do see everything you typed and to make corrections.
- There is Add Attachment button below the questions, but that button disappears outside the visible screen when you start typing in one of the fields. So, the first few times I didn't even notice that there was such button. The button will become visible again when you scroll, but there is no indication whatsoever that you can scroll in this screen.
- The third question is "Describe the desire behaviour". Although I think this is a good question to get value feedback. But, I noticed that the answer to that question often also is in the first two questions... at least in my recent reports. Maybe this question can be removed. Makes it also easier for the user.
Fair points, so what improvements do you suggest?
I suggest a couple of things:
- Make a separate screen per question.
- Make the introduction text a bit more friendly and thank the user for taking the time to report a bug π.
How would that look like John?
I thought you never asked... here is an example:
Anything else?
I noticed that after sending a bug.. it will appear in your Support Chat. That is fine. But the Chat automatically replies with the standard "We're working as fast as we can to answer your question". Perfect, but I didn't ask a question, I reported a bug. So, it would be neat if the auto response would be context aware in this case.
