Hey bunqers π
Enjoy effortless budgeting and investing while automatically splitting your payments between Bank Accounts, Stocks or ETFs! This feature helps with budgeting directly from the source!
What is a Payment Sorter? π
Automatically direct the money you receive to your Bank Accounts, stocks, or ETFs so you can budget and grow your wealth without having to think about it.
How does the Payment sorter work in the bunq app?
This feature can be used for any recurring incoming payment, like a salary or a payment made regularly from a friend, relative or organization.
When you receive this payment, you only need to set it up once. You can also enable it at another time by following the steps below:
- Go to the Budgeting tab
- Scroll down to the Payment Sorting widget
- Select Start Sorting
- Select the transaction to be sorted
- Select Sort
- Select Next
- Choose to sort by percentage (%) or a specific amount
- Select the amount you want to sort to different accounts, Stocks, and ETFs
- Tap on Sort This and Future Payments
- Done β
You can check all your sorted payments by going to the Auto Sort widget in your Budgeting tab.
Note: You can't re-sort a recurring payment which was already sorted this month. You'll have to wait for the next recurring payment in order to sort it again.
Can Business users sort their payments while AutoVAT is enabled?
Yes! These can both be enabled at the same time. If both are set up, AutoVAT will be deducted first and the rest of the amount will be sorted according to your preferences.
Who can sort payments automatically?
As a bunq Pro or bunq Elite user, you can easily split your salary or any recurring payments you receive.
Important note: The feature can't be used with any of the Local Currencies we currently provide.
What if the amount differs from one month to another?
Thatβs not a problem! As long as the amount is high enough to make the sorting possible, the payment sorter will do its job and transfer the amounts you chose to all the Bank Accounts, stocks and ETFs concerned.
