  • Show icon for card/account combination in bunq apple widget

It would be nice to be able to see which account is linked to which card directly via the apple widget. I have Siri shortcuts in place that automatically link my debit card to any account I choose, but there's no easy way to verify if it was successful other than opening the bunq app. Here's a lazy mock-up of what I mean (see blue icon next to my 'groceries' account):

The icon color could be based on the accent color assigned to each card (as visible in Apple Pay).

    @iampascal#148704 Nice idea. Of course this also means you have to remember the color you have your cards, if you use more than one :)

    In the meantime, you could also modify your shortcut to verify if the switch has worked and if not, send yourself a notification

      @Roeshimi#148719 Yes thanks I thought about a notification as well, but I tend to limit all the notifications I get since it can be a bit much at times. I'd rather have the icon in place for a simple and quick visual confirmation that's triggered as soon as I click my shortcut button. Also, the icon doesn't necessarily need to be color based, perhaps a better looking symbol for maestro/debit/credit cards can be thought of by a proper designer ;)

        @iampascal#148720 I think if anything, the names of the cards should be displayed. Otherwise you don't have a reliable differentiator

          How would this work if one has two or three cards linked to the same account? :)

            @Andreas#148732 Or even some online cards. Space is limited in the widget.
            @iampascal#148720 How about creating a Siri shortcut that just queries to which account the card is currently assigned to and if it's the wrong one, press the right button?

              @Roeshimi#148744 These are all valid ideas. I guess I just want my icon πŸ˜‚ A force press on the account in the widget could also be a way of showing all active cards linked to that account. The icon then only has to show πŸ”΅2 or πŸ”΅3 etc. for multiple cards.

                In todays release (13.5.0), the widget on iOS will now show the linked cards in the same way as we do on the Accounts tab in the app itself:

                  @Andreas#149630 One week from suggestion to implementation. Wow

                    @Andreas#149630

                    Just wow. πŸ‘ Sometimes you guys update these little things and it makes so much sense when it's there. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ

                      @Andreas#149630 Awesome! I only just now noticed it in my widget. Works like a charm with my card switching shortcuts πŸ™Œ
