• International Payment with TransferWise

Considering that this is integrated I tried it now that I have a need to transfer USD to a US brokerage account, but with the information supplied by Fidelity I get this error:

I contacted TransferWise on this and they told me if this is not working, then "we currently are unable to advise on any other options that you can use".

Has anyone seen this before? Have you found any other services that work for you? I Googled a bit and found the likes of OFX and CurrencyFair but don't know anyone who used them. It's a little disappointing to see that the integrated service doesn't work for me, at least in this specific instance :-(

    Hi 👋 @Gerhard-Yellow-Frog#150484

Perhaps it works when you change the transaction type to SWIFT or another option of possible. I'm not sure if that will result in extra costs on the receiving account though and if that account supports SWIFT transfers.

@Tim#150486 I haven't gotten the SWIFT code from Fidelity but found it on their website now; good hint; I have tried it but that returns this error...

I'm not sure... I also verified that this should work as a routing code and also ACH whatever that is exactly; all looks fine according to the instructions I see on their site.

@Gerhard-Yellow-Frog#150491 volgens transferwire ondersteunt dit niet brokerage want fidelity is geen officieel bank ...

@Marc-Maroon-Unicorn#150527 I also found this in some FAQ article that they seem not to support brokerage accounts, but it is odd that the support didn't just tell me that. And it's weird that SWIFT isn't offered at all to the US; or at least that seems to be the error I'm getting when trying the transfer through the TransferWise App directly.

I'd be interested if anyone was successful in transferring funds through other services. I've reached out to OFX and CurrencyFair, but I don't expect their support to be any better than TransferWise's... so I'll probably just have to open accounts and try for myself whether it's working. :-/
