I am currently using the (nearly) free account for €1 per month. I have a MaestroCard and a Dutch IBAN so that I can use iDeal. Using iDeal is important for me, and Bunq is still the only bank in the Netherlands who offers iDeal access for people who neither live in the Netherlands, nor have Dutch citizenship. All other Dutch banks require at least one of these two points to open an account with a Dutch IBAN and iDeal access.

As I understand, I will need a premium account to continue with that from July 2020 (the remaining free account does not include a Dutch IBAN but only a prepaid Mastercard without IBAN as I understand). So I had to pay €8 per month if I'd like to continue with this service. I'm sorry but a 800 % price increase from one day to another is out of the question.

Even if the premium account offers 25 IBANs, I don't need that! I only need one IBAN starting with NL and that's it. I would not pay €8/month which is close to €100 per year. I think, €3/month is the maximum I would be willing to pay for that.

I will cancel my membership, and if Bunq probably introduced a more customer-friendly price model, I would come back.

    Ok. Dann scheint bunq tatsächlich nichts für dich zu sein.

      bunq changed the title to New Subscriptions.

        Bunq rapidly changed from the cheapest to the most expensive bank. I guess there are better charts to top!

          Other banks are just as expensive, you just don’t see this because they charge in other sneaky ways

            @Lukasvdh#155250 Fees for cash withdrawals and exchange rates are pretty transparent. What sneaky fees are you referring to?

              N26, revolut are free, ing 1,55 a month, abn 2,65, bunq 7,99!!!

                A week slinger in Switzerland could saved me About 70 euro in fx fees

                  @Lukasvdh#155262 I dont exchange millions of euro a year :) and if you look at bunq’s balance sheet not many customers do 😂 with the current corona crisis i dont see many folks travelling too.

                    @Markus-Violet-Akita#155279 Weird i pay only 1.55 maybe ihave a loyalty discount😄

                      @Lukasvdh#155266 Ik heb tijdens de wintersport in Zwitserland twee maal op dezelfde dag een rekening betaald, beide voor een zelfde bedrag. De eerste rekening heb ik met de bunq Mastercard betaalt, de andere keer met een ICS Mastercard.

                      Uiteindelijk heb ik via ICS slechts 3 cent meer betaalt terwijl ik volgens bunq 87 cent zou hebben bespaard. Leuk die zogenaamde zerofx besparing...

                        Grappig, je kunt bij betalen kiezen in het schermpje, een eurobedrag of chf bedrag. Ik kies dan chf, het euro bedrag dat bunq mij dan rekent is een stuk lager

                          Dat ga ik de volgende keer ook ff checken voor de gein.

                            Het is ook nog eens erg duur voor een alleen online bank. Ik ga ook opzeggen. Vooral voor het geld, maar ook een beetje de manier waarop ze het communiceren. Alsof ze de gratis accounts discontinueren vanwege alles behalve het geld.

                              @Lukasvdh#155290
                              Correct, maar dat komt omdat bunq met CHF de echte wisselkoers biedt (ZeroFX) met EUR de terminal je een slechte wisselkoers geeft. Kies altijd de lokale munteenheid bij het betalen.

                                @Lukasvdh#155262 Honestly between having a regular cheaper bank like ing or abn + a real (and free) travel product like Revolut or Transferwise and you get better service than Bunq for less than 4€ a month.

                                  @Perry-Violet-Falcon#155263 A huge difference between us and some of our competitors (we won't name names) is we that we don't sell your data and we don't invest your money in things like Palm Tree Oil. We always give your the freedom to choose.

                                    I am not sure if this can be called a price increase „from one day to another“ when that „(nearly) free“ membership had been discontinued for quite a while already…
