Sometimes I wonder to myself (now though to the bunq world) if bunq is being led by professional business minded people or idealistic university students. Seems more like idealistic students.
There’s just no way that any business minded person would have just made such drastic changes as we saw a couple of days ago.

Habt ihr überhaupt irgendwelche Bäume gesehen oder Pixels reichen für Euch. Was für ein Energieverbraucht das ganze verursacht :) ich würde das noch verstehen , wenn die Bäume noch in Europa gepflanzt wurden.

          I just received an e-mail from bunq saying:

          '[we] have decided to plant 2 trees per €100 spend on your Metal Cards, until March 2021. On top of that, you will continue to get 1 tree per €100 spent on all your other bunq cards.'

          Very nice solution in my opinion, kudo's for this.

              @R#157149 Same here, very happy to see this change. Only caveat is that this ends in March 2021. But still, everyone who got GreenCard still gets what he/she paid for.

                  As some of you have already seen, for anyone that signed up to a Green Card before we launched SuperGreen, we're going back to planting 2 trees per €100 spent on the Metal Card until March 2021.

                  And on top of that, you will still plant 1 tree per €100 on every other bunq card as a SuperGreen member.

                  Thank you for all the feedback and for being so constructive about sharing why you wanted this back. This way we all benefit from SuperGreen. 🙌

                      Hey Dima,

                      The Metal Card will get frozen if you downgrade from SuperGreen after the year. You can always upgrade back to SuperGreen again if you'd like to continue using it.

                        I have a question about how this works: how is determined which card is spending the 100 euro? Are the metal card and other cards both seen as a different ‘counter’? For example, what happens if I spend 99 euro on my metal card and then 2 euro on my maestro?

                              Hey Rene 👋

                              It will be based on the transaction that crosses the €100 threshold. So it will work both ways. For example;

                              • €98 on a maestro and then €2 on a Metal Card = 2 trees
                              • €98 on a Metal Card and then €2 on a maestro = 1 tree

                              Because the only people who had less trees with the originally announced SuperGreen were those who put most of their transactions on a Metal Card, this solution will mean everyone ends up with more trees than they would have planted before SuperGreen 🙌.

                              (that doesn't mean I won't be actively choosing my Metal Card when my next tree counter is close to 100% though 😂)

                                  Hi, ik heb ook gezien hoeveel een boom planten maximaal kost (0.36 euro). Ik begrijp daarom ook niet waarom er gekozen is om maar 1 boom per 100 Euro te planten. En, ja ik zou liever zien dat we dan ook bomen kunnen planten als we IDeal en incasso betalingen doen. Dan zet het pas echt zoden aan de dijk, en kunnen we een mooi bos aanplanten. Groetjes

                                    @Sandra-Teal-Llama#157224 Hi Sandra, bunq gaf in een andere post aan dat men gemiddeld 24 bomen per maand plant. Als het planten 36 cent kost, dan zit je dus al bijna aan 9 euro aan kosten. Dat is ongeveer gelijk aan de kosten van de supergreen subscription bovenop premium, en voor dat bedrag krijg je er ook een metalen kaart bij.

                                    Denk dus dat er niet veel ruimte is voor meer bomen...

                                      @Sandra-Teal-Llama#157224 & @R#157261 Bij de partner die bunq gebruikt kost het planten van de bomen vanaf 10 dollarcent. Omdat bunq nergens aangeeft welke optie ze bij die partner hebben gekozen zou ik er vanuit gaan dat ze de goedkoopste hebben gekozen en niet de duurste. Dat is immers beter voor het milieu (als in: hoe meer bomen hoe beter). Dus voor enkel het prijsverschil kunnen (afhankelijk van de wisselkoers) zo'n 97 bomen per maand geplant worden.
