• Additional questions about bunq +1

Hey bunqers,

If you have any additional questions about bunq +1, please leave it in the comments below. 👇

Thanks and let’s start spreading the bunq love 🌈!

    If I’m in a Pack can I use bunq+1?

      @smyles#159474 Yes, you can! Because in a Pack you're still a Premium (SuperGreen), or Business (SuperGreen) user

        Just to be sure... I HAD a Joint subscription with my wife and we have ~10 joint bank accounts.
        Now we both have Premium because the Joint subscription got terminated.

        Will this Bunq +1 allow me to switch her to be my +1 for 2,99 or do I need to pay ~10 x 2,99? (yes I know in this case Premium would be the way to go, but then this new Bunq +1 is useless for me as an ex Joint subscriber).

Was müssen wir denn nun machen? Muss jetzt jeder weiterhin Premium nutzen oder kommt noch eine andere Art Mitgliedschaft? Wir sind verwirrt... :-/

              The description is not really clear. Does this mean that my partner can only use one of the subaccounts for 2.99 per month? Also they get a card which can only be used for one free withdrawal per month? What about online cards, how many online cards can the use or share?

              If this is the case, how does it replace the old joint account? I can see how this would work for a kid who should only get access to their own subaccount, but I don't really see how this would work in families where partners share finances? The only solution would be to get two premium accounts, which is (quite an) unexpected price increase of 60%.

                Just some clarification. A Premium/Business (SuperGreen) member can invite people as their +1, this will grant the invited person (kid/partner/friend/employee) access to 1 Joint sub-account and 1 card (Maestro, Debit Mastercard or Travel Card). This is for all those people who simply want to share 1 bank account and where 1 card is sufficient.

                For power users with multiple accounts and cards it best to create or join a Pack, costing €5 per person/month with all Premium features included.

                  Even ook opheldering over de termen account, subaccount en bankrekening. Ik heb een premium account met 6 bankrekeningen (Iban nummers). Als ik een +1 uit nodig. Doe ik dat dan voor het account of 1 bankrekening? Als het voor 1 bankrekening is en niet het hele account is het nogal nutteloos.

                    @Tim#159489 All fine and dandy, but why then communicate a few weeks ago that there will be a NEW Joint subscription type? This isn't it, so is it coming later then?

                      @TimF#159493

                      This is a Joint replacement for basic users, another solution for power users is Premium or finding/starting a Pack.

                        @Gerwin-Indigo-Penguin#159497

                        No, as a Premium member you can already share accounts and own joint sub-accounts. This is a way to decrease the monthly costs to 1 Premium member (7,99) and with access to 1 Joint sub-account and 1 card for (2,99) additionally for another user.

                          @Gerwin-Indigo-Penguin#159497 No if you both already have Premium you won’t need to use the +1 feature, you can just create a joint account. This +1, as I understand it, is just a way of sharing an account with a partner who does not have a personal bunq membership already.

                            @bunq#159473

                            Hi Bunq,

                            This isn't the replacement you promised a while back, I assume?

                              @Tim#159496 How is a user with multiple accounts (IBANS) a "power user". It's the thing that made Bunq great. Adding more accounts easily and using them with multiple people. Now suddenly the Joint account has been downgraded to something that is like the old banking world: having one account and no flexibility.

                                @TimF#159506

                                You can still enjoy all flexibility by joining or creating a bunq Pack, splitting the costs will make it €5 per month per person. You can't get more value for money than that.

                                  @Ambiebambi#159510 Ja maar dan betaal je dus al 6 euro meer per maand dan toen Joint er nog was. Dus dat is geen oplossing, en dat gaf Bunq ook aan toen er werd teruggekrabbeld dat er een nieuwe Joint zou komen.

                                  Pack is ook geen oplossing want dan zit je met die rare constructie dat je 2 extra mensen moet vinden die nu instappen in Bunq. Met die bokkesprongen van laatst ga ik dat niet aan iemand vragen. Met onbekenden in een pack is ook maar afwachten of je het geld krijgt. En hoe lang gaat Pack nog blijven leven?

                                    @Gerwin-Indigo-Penguin#159512 I get that. You could start or join a Pack if you want. That’s €19,99 for 4 people, so that’ll cost you the same €5,- you paid before.
