You can, of course, also create a Siri-shortcut for this. That runs automatically every week 😬👍

@Bastiaan#158592 Danke für diese tolle Idee - werde ich direkt ausprobieren :)
@Bastiaan#158592 This seems like something you can do and share with the rest of us ;)
It’s a lot simpler and more realistically to achieve this amount by setting a side 115€ per month (equals 1380€ in 1 year).
Apple Shortcut - wäre mein erster Versuch. Schaut im richtigen Konto nach, zählt den Kontostand + 1 und überweist es auf das Konto.
Einfach unter „Automation“ 1x in der Woche ausführen lassen. :)
@Bastiaan#158592 I don’t like Siri Shortcuts so much, because it’s a little bit complicated and always a problem with auto lockout, wich I choose immediately to keep bunq save. I would like to see this „challenge“ to configure easy right in the bunq app and running automatically in the bunq app. A lot of more automation (like sorting salary, save with rounding,
@Esther-Orange-Unicorn#158601 ... surplus saving would be great to see at bunq with the next updates.
That's a looot of manual tasks for a bank that praises itself over its open API... 👀
Why not simply creating a "challenges.bunq.com/1378" web app, using your own API, that will do that automatically for users? You signup, give consent, and the web app does the rest (creating the bank account, doing the automatic transfers, sending email reports every few weeks etc). And because the owner of the app is bunq, I suppose users would not need to renew their consent every 90 days. Win win everyone.
This seems like a somewhat complicated and inconvenient way (towards the end of the year when you need money most, you put in a higher amount) to save money.
It looks nice on paper, but I think practically it would be much more convenient to put aside 25 a week. This can then also be automated with the bunq app, instead of having to manually do this or script this yourself.
You can also just turn on Autosave, and depending on how many payments you generally make, you'll save a good amount with it. I've had it turned on since the day the feature launched on 7 Nov 2018, and with it set to the €5 rounding option, it's been "generating" more than €2000 on a yearly basis.
For the one interested in automating this challenge, I’ve made an automation in Siri Shortcuts with a weekly recurring event. Weekly the amount to save will be increased with 1 euro an transferred to your savings account. I keep count of the weekly payments in a text file. Unfortunately it looks like I can’t share an automation from within Shortcuts, so you’ve to do it with a screenshot: And yes, turning on Autosave is a easier solution.. But you can also use this for bigger challenges like the 5k or even 10k saving challenges. :)
@Cornelis-Magenta-Turtle#158636 Maybe more like https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/9b0ab2d9abc54febae191fcb303f5ef2 ?
Simply create a sub-account for it, get the total out of it and add +1 every week over "Automation"-tab.
Beste Bunq dit is geen bespaar maar spaar. Besparen doe je op kosten. Dit is sparen.
@Gijs-Navy-Penguin#158680 The original post is in English.
@vampjon#158634 Same for me
@Cornelis-Magenta-Turtle#158636 Thank you for sharing the tips 🙌
Leuk idee!
