Transfers to Belarus 🇧🇾

Ik wil een betaling doen naar Belarus (wit Rusland). Dit lijkt niet te kunnen ook niet met TransferWise? Kan iemand duidelijk geven?

Je kunt inderdaad geen EUR, USD of BYN versturen naar Wit-Rusland via de Transferwise integratie.

Een Google zoekopdracht gaf aan dat mensen/bedrijven in Wit-Rusland geen geld kunnen ontvangen met een PayPal account. Dat zal dus helaas ook niet werken.

Tim Heb ter controle toch even gebeld met TransferWise en het is niet mogelijk betalingen te doen ( Welke Currence or USD) naar Belarus.

My USD invoice from Belarus stated a correspondent bank in New York, but there is no input field to get this information to Transferwise.

I've tried for 2 days straight to pay my Belarussian supplier via Bunq/TransferWise and I'm giving up. The documentation is extremely lacking, the Bunq app gives cryptic, non-translated error codes. TransferWise Support makes conflicting statements on the possibility of making these payments at all. Bunq Support channels have been friendly but not very knowledgeable.

I seriously regret opening a Bunq account for my business. The app is very shiny, but only if you do the most basic payment stuff. I would NOT recommend it for anything business related.

Belarus isn't part of the SEPA area so you can't send transfers there directly through bunq. Neither through the Transferwise integration as both the currency and country aren't supported.

Tim Well, that is clear now. Too bad, because pretty much every other bank in NL does support transfers to Belarus.

Sansec Weird that Transferwise and bunq support gave you conflicting info on this. It should‘ve been made clear from the start that Belarus is not supported by Transferwise 🙁

You can of course also give alternative third party services like Western Union, WorldRemit etc. a try. Maybe they do fare better with transfers to your target country.
