• Using Bunq for business

Hi,
Right now a have a bunq account for my personal holding. Recently i started another business with a partner and we need an account for that as well. I have made a subaccount where my partner is my 'employee', but this does not make sense. Does anyone know what the right way is to organise business accounts?

I have asked for help on the bunq help page in my app but to no avail, they are not responding.

Anyone know how it works?

Also i see a lot of people with subaccounts for other expenses. Does it cost extra money to get a sub account for say holiday saving? I also have a creditcard with my bunq.

It is pretty confusing to me. When i go to my card it says i have an online card that is a creditcard. Then i also have a personal card.

I really enjoy the ease with which you can open account but i have no clear picture of what i actually have. Can i get a physical card for my creditcard as well?

Greetings Tom

@Tom-Bergisch-Beheer-B-V-Azure-Wolf#160462 for two separate companies you are required to get two separate Business subscriptions. Your customers will otherwise also see the name of the first company, not that of the second company. And exception is for companies where the name is an tradename of the other, then you can make use of a single subscription.

As for the accounts, you can use them however you like. You can create up to 25 inside your subscription. If you want more you'll have to pay a supplement for every next set of 25 IBANs. Be aware that you should not use these for personal savings. Business memberships are for business transactions and personal memberships are for your personal expenses, you shouldn't / are not allowed to mix these. 😁👍

@Sander#160467 Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I tried creating a new business account. Bunq finds my KvK number and asks me if i am the director. Me and my partner are both. I entered my data as director but it did not ask me if there is someone else thats also director.

It asks me if my holding(tom bergisch beheer bv) is the owner, i click yes and it just keeps on loading, essentially crashing. Nothing is happening for minutes.

I go back and say that my holding is not the owner and proceed to give my emailadress. I enter it and it says it cannot find it. I've tried it a few times and now i have to wait a while before i can try again.

So if i get this to work, would i then be able to add my partner as co-owner of the account?

Any tips on how to get this to work? Thanks for the help so far, i really like the ease with which you can get a bank account but there are some rough edges that need to be smoothed out.

@Tom-Bergisch-Beheer-B-V-Azure-Wolf#160473 I do not have any Business accounts at bunq, so I do not have experience with that, maybe another bunq user does know how this is supposed to work exactly, otherwise it's best to ask bunq's support team. 😉

            Hi 👋 @Tom-Bergisch-Beheer-B-V-Azure-Wolf#160462

Regarding properly giving access to a co-owner. The other director would need to create a personal account first. It can be a Travel membership which has no additional monthly costs. You can invite the user as a co-owner under Profile > Security and settings > Company Directors. Keep in mind the email address or phone number you invite them on must match their email or number used to signup their personal account. Regarding the Online Cards, these are virtual cards only and independent from your physical cards. You can use the card details of your physical cards online too of course, but not order a physical version of the virtual Online Cards. Also, when you try to open a Business account for your new business, do you use a unique email address which isn't linked to a bunq account already? This is when choosing the option 'I'm not Tom Holding BV'.
